July 2016 — March 2017   > Web Developer - Full Stack   @ Manu Garrido London Limited (London)

Summary: I aimed to implement a vision through my company during this period. Fast and responsive websites in line with the W3C guidelines, enabling visitors to easily access your brand, stimulating the business to reach its goals. Most developers focus only on coding, but I wanted to prove that solid coding fits also with beautifully crafted websites, if you have the right approach. Implementing marketing strategies early into the development is key to harmonizing this. My previous experience in dozens of projects gave me insight into the user journey and how to improve the overall web experience, either desktop or mobile. Incorporating product management and usability tests, along with email campaign tags into my development planning, added sound value to my client’s projects.

Hobbies

While not working I try to make room for looking after myself, keeping the thirds rule (a day's third for sleeping, a third for working and a third for your personal life) although it is hard to do.

I enjoy board games, especially Warhammer 40,000, which is a well-rounded hobby that includes creative aspects when assembling and painting the models, social aspects when playing with other people, and optimisation/competitive aspects when attending tournaments.

I try to be at BBQs and parks when the sun is out and the weather is warm.

If not doing any of the previous, I can probably be found gaming (PC), watching movies or TV shows and reading.
